Landscape Gardener - Assistant Manager

To allow for future expansion, this new position has been created. Reporting to the Managing Director in the first instance, you will shoulder the load of the day to day operations by directing other staff whilst performing certain operational tasks yourself.

Management tasks:

- Assist with scheduling and reporting
- Procure materials
- Directing staff

Operational tasks and desireabilities:

- Maintain and care for gardens and property surrounds to the highest possible standard
- Help development existing gardens to the best they can be
- Hedging and Pruning (by hand and machinery)
- Small tractor and zero turn mower experience
- Green keeping experience
- Knowledge of plants
- Knowledge of pests and diseases and treatment
- Irrigation implementation and maintenance
- Implementation of planting plans
- Previous experience in Horticulture or Landscapeing fields
- Ability to perform some landscaping such as paving, fencing, brick laying, retaining walls.
- Responsible for vehicles and tool maintenance
- General handyman skills
