
Manager Rehabilitation Strategy and Planning

**The Manager Rehabilitation Strategy and Planning will**:
Manage and lead staff coordinating rehabilitation strategy, service planning and governance for QCS.
Collaboratively lead rehabilitation strategy and planning for Offender Rehabilitation and Management Services with the Director, and Managers of Education Services, Re-entry Services, Offender Intervention Unit and Offender Services.
Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery and offender rehabilitation outcomes, including Research and Evaluation Group, Strategic Policy, Assessment and Case Management Governance, and Sentence and Case Management Services.
Develop, implement and oversight governance activities including site monitoring, program accreditation, impact evaluation processes such as collection of pre and post assessment data and coordination of evaluation plans, to help support anddevelop evidence-based offender rehabilitation practices across QCS.
Develop, implement and oversight service planning processes that considers evidence informed practices, best use of available internal and external resources, delivery requirement for approved initiatives and operational constraints.
Work with other leaders to develop innovative solutions and evidence-based solutions to offender needs, including priority groups such as women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and offenders with a disability.
Develop and oversee internal monthly and quarterly reporting processes against demand, throughput and quality indicators and ensure measurements and KPIs present data that accurately reflects Agency level deliverables in rehabilitation.
Scope, develop and implement strategies that deliver high quality rehabilitation outcomes for QCS, the PBQ, the offender and the community.
Provide high level advice to the Agency regarding rehabilitation governance and service planning arrangements including advice on rehabilitation planning processes and impact and requirements on operational resources.
Collaborate with ORMS units to develop and maintain procedures, guidelines, communication products and staff resources that promote and support effective and consistent processes for rehabilitation delivery.
Provide expert advice to the Director regarding human, financial and physical resources to ensure that activities, systems and processes meet organisational needs.
Management and preparation of strategic advice and ministerial and executive correspondence ensuring accuracy and timelines are met.
Manage the provision of advice, support and training to relevant custodial and Community Corrections staff.
Maintain a high standard of professional knowledge on offender and rehabilitation research and initiatives.
A degree in psychology, social work or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
Possession of post graduate qualifications (or significant progress towards post graduate qualifications) in a relevant area will be highly regarded.
