**About the role**:
The Principal Advisor, Health Service Third Party Revenue plays a critical role in maximising revenue for Health Services. This involves coordinating, developing, and implementing strategies to optimize income from various sources, including Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), private patient fees, Transport Accident Commission (TAC) claims, and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) funding.

This role leads the development of sector-facing components for third-party revenue initiatives, encompassing design, analytics, engagement, communication, and implementation. By providing expert advice and developing compelling third-party revenue initiatives, this position supports the financial sustainability and objectives of Hospitals Victoria and the broader health sector

This position is pivotal in a specialist unit dedicated to driving financial improvement and capability across Victoria's health services. Principal Advisor, Financial Improvement and Capability reports directly to the Director, Financial Improvement & Capability.

**Qualifications / Specialist Expertise**

Qualifications - An appropriate tertiary qualification in project management, health, accounting, commerce, economics, political science, public administration or public policy.

A high degree of understanding and knowledge of the Victorian budget processes, health system operations and funding, relevant departmental systems and environments is desirable

Specialist Expertise - Exceptional advisory, negotiation, communication and relationship building skills, with demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a politically sensitive context.
