Position Title: Gaming & Streaming Coordinator

Position: Full-Time

Reports to: Head of Gaming & Streaming

The Organisation:
Cure Cancer is dedicated entirely to funding early career cancer researchers. We identify, assess and fund the research that we believe has the best possible chance of finding a cure. Most importantly, we fund research for ALL cancer types.

One Australian dies every 12 minutes from cancer. We can change this, but only through research. Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer.

The Role:
Do you have a passion for online gaming and streaming and want to help save lives? This full-time role based in Sydney is ideally suited for an experienced gaming industry professional with demonstrable skills in campaign management, live-streaming and community engagement. The Gaming & Streaming Coordinator will join Cure Cancer’s dedicated gaming team, helping grow the organisation’s Game On Cancer® initiative to become the go-to charity partner for gaming creators, communities and brands. This role is a newly created position to help support Cure Cancer’s growing focus and efforts in the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the production and execution of Game On Cancer®’s annual fundraising campaigns (Superhero Streamers, Holiday Spectacular), including creation of campaign assets and planning and execution of marketing and communications
- Work alongside the wider Cure Cancer team to outreach, secure, onboard and nurture creators as fundraisers for the aforementioned campaigns
- Manage relationships with local PR & creator agencies to both promote the annual campaigns and secure paid and unpaid talent for the purpose of campaign promotion and fundraising
- Manage relationships with local gaming partners, helping execute activations to support Game On Cancer® (including publishers, developers, esports organisations, retailers, community groups etc.)
- Lead and oversee the social media strategy for Game On Cancer® channels with support from the wider Cure Cancer team
- Lead production and execution of gaming events outside of standard business operating hours as required, including PAX Australia, Supanova and others
- Work with the wider Cure Cancer team to support community engagement initiatives including editorial and video content, streams on Twitch and engagement events on Discord
- Identify and explore fundraising growth opportunities within gaming, streaming and events
