Provide timely, expert and authoritative advice on complex policy issues and recommend policy and legislative options that will capitalise on Queensland's resources for sustainable economic prosperity and just outcomes through the optimal and responsible use of Queensland's land resources.
- Conduct and coordinate substantial research and analysis of the potential short, medium and long-term impacts of social, economic and environmental trends on Queensland's land resources.
- Develop, manage and/or oversee projects, including consultation with stakeholders, to deliver policy outcomes that are consistent with the overall policy direction of the Queensland Government.
- Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of complex reports, policy submissions, briefing notes, legislation, presentations, speeches, publications and correspondence for consideration by executive management.
- Work collaboratively and negotiate with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry and non-government organisations to achieve policy outcomes and deliver on Government commitments.
- Represent the Department at State/Commonwealth conferences, internal/external meetings and committees and inter-departmental and inter-jurisdictional working groups.
- Other duties as directed and required.
