**The Role - Permanent Part-Time, Tuesday - Friday**
The NDIS Community Supports Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of existing and new clients seeking NDIS Community Support services from Baptist Care SA. With a client centred focus and collaborating closely with the clients, carers, families, support workers, NDIS support coordinators and corporate services in the delivery of NDIS services across the organisation to ensure effective services delivery, including appropriate allocation of staff to rosters, development and allocation of resources and tools to support the clients.
Your duties will involve, but won’t be limited to:
- Collaborating with the NDIS Operations Team, clients, internal and external stakeholders to provide services and advice regarding the NDIS function promptly and accurately.
- Work closely with the management team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Provide leadership by role modelling behaviours, facilitating team meetings, encouraging positive working relationships, and coaching and mentoring.
- Provide effective coordination of programs in accordance with the requirements of the clients Schedule of Supports and NDIS plan.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy with all contractual agreements, policies and procedures, NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework, records and data.
**About you**:
You will be a passionate and experienced professional, who enjoys and thrives working within the disability field. You will have demonstrated experience in developing schedules to match client plan funding and NDIS Plan requirements and previous experience leading a team.
You’ll also have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification within the areas of human services, for example; disability, community services, psychology, nursing, or related field
- Significant (3-5 years) previous experience in working with vulnerable and at-risk clients with disability and complex needs
- Experience with rostering and the SCHADS Award
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS business and regulatory environment, including the NDIS Rules, Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders
**Specific employment requirements**:
- A valid full South Australia driver’s license (C Class)
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Clearance
- First Aid Certificate
- Evidence of current COVID-19 vaccinations including any booster requirements
- A valid Child-Related Employment Screening via Department of Human Services
- Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Travel within South Australia
- Road worthy vehicle and willingness to obtain a road worthy certificate
