Northern Rivers In Home Care is a not for profit In Home Care Child Care Service servicing the Northern Rivers area and Gold Coast and has been an In Home Care Provider since 2001

We are currently looking for qualified Educators with a min 2 years’ experience on the Gold Coast to provide an Education based program in the family’s home. We have various roles available for shift workers which include morning, afternoon and overnight, we have weekend care.

**What is In Home Care?**

In Home Care is a type of education and care for families where mainstream childcare services are not available or appropriate. Families who are unable to access centre-based care, family day care or outside school hours care due to their unique circumstances may be eligible for the program. In Home Care provides an Educator to care for children in the children’s own home for families:

- who are geographically isolated from other types of childcare
- who work non-standard or variable hours
- with challenging or complex needs.

Your role will include:

- Provide an education and age-appropriate program
- Ensure that age-appropriate opportunities are given to the children based on their needs and interests while providing the highest quality care
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment
- Ensure guidelines, policies and procedures of Northern Rivers Children’s Services are followed and implemented including health and safety

Prerequisites:

- Education Qualifications acceptable for an IHC educator include a Certificate III, a Diploma or a Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualifications that have a major focus on Early Childhood Education, or ‘actively working towards’ one of these qualifications.
- First Aid and CPR
- Police Clearance
- Blue Card (QLD)
- Current Child Protection
- Medical Clearance
- Public Liability Insurance
- No vaccination mandate
- ABN

Hourly rate:
$32.00 to $33.00 per hour (includes Superannuation)
