**Qualified Educator Wanted - Parkwood, Gold Coast**

Northern Rivers In Home Care is seeking a qualified, experienced, and compassionate Educator to provide before and after-school care and weekend support for a family located in Parkwood, Gold Coast. This rewarding role involves caring for three children aged 3, 7, and 11 in a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment. The children have experienced trauma and require an Educator who is trauma-informed, patient, and able to build strong, trusting relationships. Approx. 30 hours per week.

**Position Details**:

- Days may vary depending on the family's roster (e.g., Thursday/weekends)
- **Example of working hours**:

- **Weekends**:

- 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- **Weekdays**:

- 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM (includes school drop-off)
- 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM (includes school pick-up)

**Hourly Rate**:
**$40.00 per hour (inclusive of Superannuation).**

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care A**CECQA approved Certified by a JP
- **Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)**:

- **First Aid and CPR Certification**:

- **Experience working with multiple children in a home environment**:

- **Full driver’s license and comfortable driving the family car**:

- **Flexibility to work varying days and shifts based on the family’s roster**:

- **Excellent communication and problem-solving skills**:

- **Ability to establish strong relationships with children and families**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing safe, nurturing, and engaging care for the children
- Assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups
- Engaging the children in educational and age-appropriate activities
- Assisting with homework
- Ensuring a calm and supportive environment, especially during morning and evening routines

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Police Clearance (preferred)
- ABN (preferred)
- Child Protection Refresher (preferred)
- Blue Card (required)
- Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care (required)
- HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (required)
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (required)
