We are currently looking for a passionate and self-motivated **Community Relations & Communications Undergraduate** to join the Community team on the More Trains More Services (MTMS) project. This position is a casual role however, we would consider part-time arrangements and are flexible with working days.
The MTMS program will simplify and modernise the rail network creating high capacity, turn up and go services for many customers. It means customers can expect more frequent train services, with less wait times, less crowding on a simpler and more reliable network.
**How you’ll spend your days**
- Write a range of high-quality communication materials, including notifications, newsletters, social media posts and formal correspondence as well as assist with face-to-face discussions with impacted stakeholders as appropriate.
- Liaise with construction teams, community and stakeholders to respond to the project information line and manage all queries in accordance with the client’s framework.
- Participate and assist with activities undertaken by the wider Community Relations team.
- Maintain registers and ensure community and stakeholder activities are recorded appropriately and in line with agreed client framework.
- Contribute to the identification of construction related risks and hazards with regard to stakeholders and the community.
- Develop good working relationships with the project construction team to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the community.
- Communicate with external stakeholders and the community in a way that enhances the reputation of John Holland and organisation partners.
**What you will bring to the table**
- Currently studying towards a qualification in communications, public relations, marketing, or the like.
- Flexibility in hours and workdays
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in an administrative role (preferred, but not essential.)
