Just Better Care Eastern Suburbs is looking for passionate **Community Support Professionals** to join our caring and dynamic team.

We provide in-home disability and aged care services, supporting people to live independently and with dignity. We believe that **people of all ages and abilities deserve access to the support and resources they need** to live where and how they choose.

Our office services four key areas in the Sydney Metro region**:Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, Sutherland, and St George**.

**About the Role**

This role involves working directly with customers, supporting them in various aspects of daily living while respecting their independence, dignity, and safety. You will be providing assistance to customers with physical, mental, emotional, and social disabilities in their homes and communities.

**Main Duties**:

- Accompanying aged and disabled persons during daily activities
- assisting clients with their mobility
- preparing food for clients
- arranging social activities
- performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning
- assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
- providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
- may do shopping and run errands
- May provide sleepover support with the client, which can include either active or inactive overnight shifts, depending on the individual's needs.
- Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support.
- The Community Support Professional provides and delivers individual and personalised support and resources to customers, so that they may continue to live in their homes.
- The Community Support Professional’s responsibilities may include, working under the guidance and supervision of medical professionals, monitoring and communicating customer’s condition to the Coordinator and/or Package Manager, transportation, light domestic duties, personal hygiene, providing meals and other health and wellness related activities.
- The Community Support Professional will demonstrate a commitment to best practice, ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures.

**Essential**
- Certificate III and/or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, and/or Disability Care or relevant field.
- At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
- Proof of Working Rights in Australia (i.e. Birth Certificate/Citizenship Certificate/Passport/VISA)
- Experience or willingness to assist with personal care and daily living tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and efficient in completing duties
- Respectful, client-focused attitude with a commitment to quality care
- Team-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn, develop skills, and participate in ongoing training
- Good written and spoken English skills for effective workplace communication

**Desirable**
- Current Working with Children Check (where required in accordance with state based legislation)
