Posted Date: 19 Sep 2024- Location: Guildford PDC, WA, AUAre you ready to lead and innovate in the mining industry? We’re looking for a dynamic **Product Manager** for our Hydraulic Mining Shovel, Rotary Drill, and Track Type Tractor categories.

Reporting to the Product Management and Sales Support Manager, this is a full-time permanent position based at WesTrac’s Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) in South Guildford, WA.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drive Product Development**: Manage the NPI (New Product Introduction) process, ensuring business readiness and market success.
- **Customer Focus**: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to meet business plan goals.
- **New Model Introduction**: Oversee NPI program tasks from commercial phase-in to fleet performance monitoring.
- **Market Strategy**: Develop and execute product strategies and market value propositions.
- **Client Relationship**: Provide ongoing support and education on product specifications and performance.
- **Inventory Planning**: Conduct machine inventory reviews and validate order book planning.
- **Marketing Initiatives**: Lead mining marketing projects and participate in industry conferences.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Promote projects to improve efficiencies and reduce Total Cost of Ownership.

**To be successful the following is required**:

- Relevant Trade Certificate and/or Tertiary qualification in Commercial, Marketing, Business, or Engineering disciplines.
- Significant experience with Caterpillar or OEM in product management or a related industry, coupled with a technical understanding of Caterpillar products and technology.
- Proven track record in project delivery, product and account management, or technical sales.
- Strong commercial acumen with comprehensive product and mining experience.
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to liaise with customers at various organisational levels.
- High attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
