**The opportunity**
As our WHS & People Governance Consultant you will play a pivotal role in evolving and improving how the People team are adhering to internal and external forces such as legislation, regulations and improving safety with proactive improvements and quick resolutions.
Focussing on the employee experience and exploring new ways of doing things you will ensure alignment with our culture and values as well as
- Manage all WHS related activities, reporting, compliance and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the USM workplace and working environment
- Manage WorkCover cases and return to work coordination
- Lead the delivery across the People team on human resources policies, guides, and processes
- Provide support to Wellbeing initiatives and integration with any relevant WHS objectives
- Represent People on key Diversity programs such as RAP
**About you**
A love of process improvement and a passion for focussing on the employee experience you can help drive a culture of self service and empowerment. Your ability to step up, take initiative, identify and deliver continuous improvement is essential. Coupled with the following, you will truly be set up for success
- Process mapping and best solution identification experience
- Understanding of HR legislation or risk and governance frameworks
- Experience in a Human Resources or related field including Work Health & Safety
- Strong communication skills, stakeholder management and negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
