**The Role**
Aviation Safety Assurance Officers are responsible to Director Continuing Airworthiness for planning, leading and reporting of continuing airworthiness oversight and enforcement activities. The role requires the review of complex technical issues and the exercise of appropriate technical delegations.
The successful applicant will be required to actively manage key stakeholder relationships within Defence and Contractor organisations and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve safety outcomes. You will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development of aviation continuing airworthiness assurance.
**About our Team**
The Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) is responsible to enhance and promote the safety of military aviation through the implementation of a Defence Aviation Safety Program that promotes a generative safety culture and independently assures the effective management of Defence aviation safety risks.
DASA is a complex organisation consisting of Headquarters (HQ) elements and five Directorates providing aviation safety assurance and specialist engineering services to the Defence aviation community. The organisation has a strength of around 300 personnel, made up of Australian Defence Force members and Australian Public Servants, and is physically located in Melbourne VIC, Canberra ACT, and Amberley QLD.
