**Your Role**:
**Your Responsibilities**:
**State Underwriting Team Leadership**:
- In conjunction with the Product Leaders and Distribution Heads, set strategy for achievement of financial plan for NSW.
- Guide and direct Relationship Managers to set strategy for NSW brokers.
- Action and communicate specific Broker business plans for NSW.
- Lead the NSW Underwriting team, to expand relationships and profitably build our business in both the Independent & Global Broker market.
- Communicate local plans for traditional and alternate distribution channels.
- Achievement of plan targets for underwriting profitability, rate, retention and growth, in line with product line strategies and plans.
- Establish appropriate growth, profit and rate targets for individual underwriters that align with Channel, Branch and Product plans.
- Manage regular production metrics to ensure required performance is delivered in line with plan.
- In conjunction with team leadership, execute regular coaching & development meetings with underwriters on their performance and development.
- Oversee local annual and mid-year performance cycle.
- Ensure Development plans are developed and actioned for staff identified as Top Talent and Critical Talent.
- Management of assigned T&E budget to deliver optimal results.
**Distribution Management**:
- Manage all distribution streams within the local Broker Market.
- Ensure relationship is in place with key Principals and Senior Managers.
- Drive Branch Key Broker Plans, new business Prospecting and Cross Sell activities and incorporate data into applicable Sales framework and systems.
- Facilitate regular Principal and/or Senior Management meetings with key intermediaries to agree plans, monitor implementation against plan and identify gaps.
- Effectively tier and drive differentiated offerings across Independent Brokers and Global Broker structures.
- Develop and execute local plans for traditional and alternate distribution channels to deliver financial objectives.
- Develop and execute specific Broker business plans for the applicable Branch to deliver financial objectives in line with applicable National plans.
- Ensure local Product strategies and initiatives are communicated and implemented with our Broker network.
**Qualifications**:
**Your Skills & Experience**:
- A minimum of 5 years of cross lines insurance and general management experience.
- Excellent team leadership and motivation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the experience and maturity necessary to influence and manage change at senior levels.
- A thorough knowledge and experience of working within broker markets.
- Experience driving rate and profit strategies across a portfolio.
- A proven track record in developing new markets, delivering growth and profitability.
- Recognised senior relationships with major Broker Partners and cluster groups.
- Excellent marketing skills, both theoretical and practical within the insurance sector.
- Demonstrated sales and production competencies and the ability to be a role model and coach others in these skills.
- Knowledge of alternative distribution strategies.
