**Product Owner
**About the Role**:
We are looking to hire an experienced Product Owner to join our next generation utilities billing product team (HUB), to represent the customer back into the development teams. The Product Owner will elicit and document product change items, in the form of robust business stories, derived from key stakeholders and clients, and then provide direction to Agile Scrum teams to deliver the changes to meet the customer’s needs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap - Own the product roadmap and serve as the voice of the client. Develop product strategy and direction by working with the Product Manager, customers & other stakeholders.
- Requirements & Design - Gather business requirements/stories for development by establishing open lines of communication with client & stakeholders. Participate in design processes to uncover the needs and motivations of our customers.
- Knowledge Sharing - Maintain and communicate industry & product specific knowledge relating to the product within the product owner group, development teams and wider company.
**About you**:
Proven commercial experience as a Product Owner within an Energy/Utilities Billing related field. Experience in a similar role within a hosted SaaS software product environment would be beneficial. Knowledge of Electricity and Gas procedures and AEMO documentation will be desirable. A proactive and customer focused mindset with strong organisational skills and the ability to pivot to changing priorities. You will also have:
- Strong documentation skills (including User Stories and Acceptance Criteria).
- Subject matter expertise in Agile development methodologies (particularly SCRUM).
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal.
- Interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers.
