**About the position**
The Business Support Officer is accountable to their designated Assistant Director for the provision of a range of confidential efficient and effective administrative support services and contributes to the effective management of Student Support Services in their provision of crucial services to all schools and preschools across the state. The Business Support Officer will provide professional, courteous and confidential administrative support, including acting as the first point of contact, and providing a discrete, confidential and efficient screening service.
The Business Support Officer will provide an administrative support role to services within Student Support Services such as School Mental Health Service, School Buy-In, Children in Care Enrolments, External Private Providers, Flexible Service Teams, Tele-Practice, Complex Needs Panel, Support 360 and Youth Justice Portfolio.
Student Support Services are on a cultural response journey, as such we value and prioritise Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing and being.
**Special Conditions**
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
