Reporting to the HSEQ Manager - Australia, the HSE Advisor - Projects will be responsible
for the delivery of technical expertise with a high focus on continuous improvement through
building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, particularly site-based operations.
The HSE Advisor - Projects will provide support and expertise to EDL’s project teams, all
staff, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve EDL’s goal of a Zero Harm workplace.
This role will require travel across the West Coast to ensure strong operational interface and
engagement

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivering technical expertise ensuring alignment to statutory and company health and
- safety requirements through true business partnering and stakeholder engagement- Providing ongoing support to group operations through proactive leadership,
- knowledge, and support to reduce health and safety risks, preventing injury and illness- Delivering site-based safety solutions, safety inspections and safety observations as
- required including timely close-out of actions- Driving the hearts and minds of a risk-based systems assurance culture by supporting
- hazard identification and risk assessment processes- Promoting timely reporting of incidents and aiding in the identification of remedial
- actions- Initiating effective consultation arrangements with all stakeholders that result in a
- collaborative approach to identifying and managing strategic risk concerns- Develop, review, and deliver safety management systems and training and
- assessment materials to ensure they are current and of a consistently high standard- Performing health and safety compliance audits, ensuring consistent implementation

and adherence to systems and related procedures across the organisation

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Hands-on experience in multi-site, high-risk industries such as renewables, energy,
- mining, or heavy industry- Effective and well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- across broad stakeholder groups- Proven ability to negotiate and influence at various levels within an organisation
- The ability to self-motivate, plan, and manage work programs autonomously
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- The ability to adapt positively to change with a strong focus on continuous
- improvement- Demonstrated expertise and understanding of current HSE legislation, standards,
- codes, and industry practices- Well-developed report writing and MS Office skills
- Experience with ICAM incident investigation methodology
- Qualifications wise you will hold a Certificate IV in Occupational Safety and Health or

Work Health and Safety (Diploma or higher level would be favourable), a Certificate IV

TAE 40110 Training and Assessment or equivalent, with training and assessing
experience, current First Aid Certification and CPR certification (HLTAID003 Provide
First Aid or higher), intermediate ability within MS Office - Word, Outlook, Excel and
PowerPoint. A clear Australian National Police Clearance and clean driver’s license is
compulsory
- Experience in HSE compliance management and Lead Auditor qualifications
