**About the role**
As the Surveillance Duty Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day Surveillance operations at Treasury Brisbane are managed professionally and efficiently. Your thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation will enable you to maintain a high level of compliance whilst supporting your team in the delivery of five-star guest experiences. Additionally, you will have a growth mindset, lead by example and be passionate about mentoring and developing each member of your team
Reporting to the Surveillance Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Surveillance Manager in the development and implementation of business plans to achieve departmental objectives
- Investigate and provide analysis to senior management to assist in asset protection strategies and best practices
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to identify and reduce incidents of cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal or undesirable activities within the Treasury complex
- Liaise and document information with interstate surveillance departments, OLGR and relevant law enforcement agencies for intelligence purposes
- Make recommendations to minimise cost throughout the department in line with company and divisional budgets
- Provide leadership and direction regarding the operational aspects of the Surveillance Department, ensuring customer service, financial budgets and operational requirements are met
- Provide leadership, advice and direction to monitor room personnel on Security Console functions, gaming integrity and illegal & undesirable activity
- Monitor, evaluate and modify the quality and consistency of service within the monitor room to continuously meet and improve service standards, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic and operating plans for the business
- Manage the training and career development programme for all monitor room personnel, identify any operational training requirements and implement induction and self-paced training programs in accordance with departmental objectives and best practice
**About you**
- Experience in surveillance and management, preferably within the casino industry
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular Casino Control Act and regulations
- Ability to effectively communicate and implement all statutory processes
- Either have or be eligible for a KE licence
- Proven ability to investigate and provide analysis to senior management to assist in asset protection strategies and best practice policies
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team to ensure a high standard of work output and service, with emphasis on maintaining integrity and minimising illegal or undesirable activity
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting department, company and corporate policies, procedures and principles
