**Transport Manager**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement maintenance standards and schedules to ensure the reliability and safety of all vehicles and equipment.
- Oversee and manage vehicle servicing and repair schedules to minimize downtime and optimise operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all planned maintenance and repairs adhere to agreed service levels and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of fleet vehicles to ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Prepare and manage the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resource allocation.
- Foster strong relationships with vehicle manufacturers and parts suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure timely service.
- Lead the implementation and management of a comprehensive fleet safety program.
- Monitor fleet performance, generate reports on fleet utilisation and maintenance costs, and recommend improvements or new acquisitions when necessary.
- Maintain the fleet livery to the highest standards.
- Manage the acquisition, disposal, and replacement of fleet vehicles, considering financial efficiency and optimal timing.
- Oversee accident repair management and ensure swift resolution.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Transport Manager, or in a similar role focused on transport and logistics.
- Strong mechanical expertise, with a deep understanding of modern vehicle systems and electronics.
- Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and systems.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with great attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience managing a diverse fleet, including trucks, trailers, and specialised machinery.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
