Position Overview

B&J Catalano are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our dynamic team and oversee daily transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of drivers and transport staff
  • Plan and schedule vehicle routes to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and company policies
  • Handle transport documentation, including delivery notes and fuel logs
  • Resolve customer complaints and delivery issues promptly and professionally
  • Train new drivers and ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards

To be successful in this role you will need the following

  • Experience in Transport, logistics, or fleet operations (supervisory experience highly regarded)
  • Good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and fatigue management requirements
  • Front End Loader experience would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate work effectively
  • Basic mechanical knowledge (advantageous)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CoR, fatigue management, White Card) considered an advantage
  • HR/HC licence (preferred but not essential)
