**Your new role awaits**
As our new **Procurement Manager**, you’ll be based in our Mascot head office and report directly to the Senior Procurement Manager. Our office is conveniently located a short walk from Mascot Train Station and is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, shops, and gyms.
This position is responsible for the management of our Repair and Maintenance categories. These areas specifically look after parts and labour service contracts associated with Coates’ hire equipment fleet and are critical to ensuring Coates’ operational efficiency.
Previous experience managing similar categories is beneficial, however, we will provide training on these markets to ensure you are successful.
**A typical day for you**
- Strategic procurement planning to secure supply, rationalise supplier base, and achieve optimal value savings
- Sourcing and negotiating with OEM and 3rd party suppliers
- Managing relationships with internal stakeholders to assess needs
- Monitoring and report supplier contract KPI performance, compliance requirements, risks, issues, and opportunities
- Developing further value activity throughout the supply chain via price, volume, innovation, and process opportunities.
**What you’ll bring to the role**
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects, track activities & meet deadlines
- Strategic focus with the ability to analyse the detail and provide recommended solutions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication
- Solid third-party management and negotiation skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- MCIPS (or working towards obtaining) is beneficial
