Major incident specialist - $85+super per hour - 9-month contract - Macquarie Park

**Your new company**
This exciting government organisation are seeking a Major incident specialist / Service Operator on a 9-month contract with the possibility to be extended. The office Is located in Macquarie park near the metro. They are offering WFH options once settled into the role.

Your new role
As a Major incident specialist, you will take the lead on all major incidents and Support the management and coordination of all aspects of the Major Incident Management Process including the facilitation of Major Incident Management technical bridges and required communications for all P1 & P2 Major Incidents. You will be monitoring IT events and systems, as well as a defined level of incident (including major incident) change, release, problem, and transition to operate management activities for IT Infrastructure. The role will operate on a 24/7 rotating roaster with hybrid options available. The roster will be organised and given to you 6 months in advance so you can plan around it.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- 1/2 years’ experience in a Major incident response role
- Experience dealing with P1 P2 incidents
- Experience in release management
- Experience in incident management
- Experience in incident response
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience in stakeholder management/vendor management
- Be flexible with shifts
