**Your new company**

Your new position will be within one of the leading educational institutes in NSW with a head office in the heart of Sydney CBD. The organisation requires a Security Operations Specialist to assist with the day-to-day management, implementation, and automation of security processes and procedures.

**Your new role**

As a Security Operations Specialist you’ll be responsible for managing and preparing the systems and network for future threats. You’ll be responsible for responding and monitoring the systems and network for future incidents, threats and vulnerabilities. You’ll be You’ll be responsible for creating scripts to automate the processes for improved efficiency. You’ll be collaborating with stakeholders to implement security solutions.

**What you'll need to succeed**

As a Security Operations Specialist you’ll be working with cross-functional teams in a clustered environment, along with:

- Prior experience in cyber security
- Proven experience in scripting and/or computer programming capabilities such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc
- Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and controls
- Strong experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Strong knowledge of network and system security technologies and processes
