**Position description**

We seek an enthusiastic **Laboratory Aide **to join our **Immunohistochemistry **area** of the Histology Department.** You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Preparing sample for analysis from a work order list, including setting up IPX Staining instruments and making up of solutions
  • Loading and unloading of instruments and distributing slides to other staff
  • Preparation and maintenance of laboratory machines,
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Other laboratory tasks as required

We are proud to say we have a learning and supportive environment, and full training will be provided. We are looking for the following:

  • Open to work 38 hours a week Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm
  • Prior laboratory experience, WH & S knowledge or a Certificate IV in laboratory techniques is desirable but not compulsory.
  • Strong computer literacy
  • A hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with good time management skills
  • Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
