**Retail Area Manager - Victoria**

Kookai is a dynamic and innovative global fashion retail company with a rare and incredible full-time opportunity for an experienced Retail Area Manager to join and lead part of our Victorian business.

The Area Manager reports directly to the National Retail Manager and involves managing six to eight Kookai boutiques across Melbourne. This role is responsible for providing supportive leadership with a particular focus on inspiring a team towards delivery of total customer satisfaction and exceeding KPI targets. You will be responsible for ensuring staffing, service, operations and store standard levels are maintained in line with company expectations.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Developing and maintaining a harmonious working environment to maximise employee commitment and engagement
- Developing high-performance teams making succession planning as ongoing focus
- Training and coaching Store Managers and Assistant Managers utilising our extensive inhouse training library and workshops in conjunction with our VIC Training Manager
- Guiding, supporting and conducting performance discussions ensuring it is in line with company procedures
- Coordinating product cycle counts and stock management tasks as required
- Upholding region and store operational requirements
- Ensuring a high standard of store presentation and visual merchandising
- Achieving store profit contribution and KPI targets within the region
- Reviewing sales trends and driving areas of opportunities

**Experience required**:

- Proven experience as an Area Manager and/or Multi Site Manager within fashion retail
- Proven experience in leading, engaging and motivating teams
- Proven success in achieving targets
