Our State Government Client is currently seeking a Research Program Officer on a temporary, part time basis for a duration of 3-6 months to work from their Geelong CBD location.

**Your new role**

You will work 9-12 hours over 3-4 days per week, responsible for supporting effective administration and coordination of the health, disability and compensation research program. The role will involve establishing and maintaining effective internal stakeholder relationships on a team, branch and divisional level. The Research Program Officer will be required to work across a number of functions including strategic management, data science, evidence and evaluation, and communications and translation. Responsibilities will include:

- Reporting on the research program
- Maintaining the research program lists using Microsoft Excel
- Tracking of the overall research budget
- Managing the research inbox and calendar
- File management
- Preparing invoices for processing
- Support to draft documents using Microsoft Word and Power Point
- Support to schedule and deliver internal research governance committees, data registry meetings, project steering committees, team meetings and research forums by:

- Scheduling the meetings
- Creating agendas, tracking attendance, minute taking and documenting completion of actions
- Completing miscellaneous tasks as necessary (e.g. organising catering, booking off-site venues).
- Develop and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships on a team, divisional and branch level.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed, you will need:

- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in the development of high quality reports and correspondence
- Knowledge of project planning, management and evaluation processes
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant health, client or other research related discipline (highly desired)
