Morningside, Australia MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees Full time

**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a **Heavy Commercial Vehicle Apprentice** to join the team at **Scott’s Refrigerated Logistics**. These positions are located in **Morningside**, QLD. You will be working alongside experienced tradespeople assisting in the repair and servicing of refrigerated road transport vehicles used for supply to the major retailer and food service channels.

Undertaking this **four-year Apprenticeship** will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic while completing your **(AUR31120) Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology**.

Your duties will be varied and include amongst others working on engines, transmissions, fuel systems, brakes, suspension units, ignition and electrical systems as well as being involved in safety and roadworthy inspections. This position is based in a workshop in Morningside where you will be hosted with a highly respected company that partners with many of the largest food and beverage companies across Australia.

**About You**

We are looking for a mechanically minded individual who has a keen interest in the trade, has good problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and good communication skills. If you have gained a Certificate II in Automotive Technology, have some experience working on vehicles, or just passionate about learning this trade then we would be keen to hear from you.
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- A team player who is willing to listen, learn and follow instructions
- Good communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Manual Driver's licence and own car
- White card
- Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Clearance
- Strong attention to detail
- Good safety awareness
