These positions will be offered as Part - Time Permanent Shifts at our Merrylands Aged Care Facility. **T**he Role: We are looking for Three Care Staff Employee for the below shifts**: - 1400-2100hrs Tuesday & Wednesday and 0630-1400hrs Thursday & Friday (4 days) - 2145-0700hrs Monday - Wednesday (3 nights) - 2145-0700hrs Sunday - Wednesday (4 nights) **As a Care Service Employee, you will**: - Provide emotional and social support whilst assisting residents with a range of daily life activities. - Support residents with self-care including grooming, bathing and dressing. - Reporting any changes of resident to the Registered Nurse on the shift duty - Assist with mobility including using mechanical lifting aids and ensuring the residents comfort. - Assist in mealtimes and social activities. **Additional benefits** - Certificate III in Aged Care or relevant Certification - Comprehensive Induction Program - Ongoing Training and Development including opportunities to complete formal training (Certificate III in Aged Care) - Genuine career progression pathways - Discounted Health Insurance products - Up to $18K NFP salary packaging, including discounts at major retailers, cinemas and restaurants - Heart HQ - the Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) People Platform that is packed with exclusive benefits and features designed to help you Celebrate, Connect and Succeed. - Certificate III in Aged/ Individuals Support/ 2nd year Nursing students who have completed 1 placement - Experience in a similar role in aged care - A genuine enthusiasm, care and compassion in your commitment to working with elderly people. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team - Respect for all people, regardless of background, age, gender, religion and ethnicity - Flexible to do AM/PM and night shifts **About Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)** - We are a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to empower older people to ‘live life to the full’.
