The opportunity

We’re offering an exciting opportunity to be part of QBE’s Group sustainability reporting programme as we strengthen our climate-related reporting in response to regulatory requirements. This is a unique opportunity to embed climate reporting into the heart of financial disclosures.

Your new role

As the Financial Reporting Manager - Climate, you will work closely with the Head of Group Statutory Reporting & Accounting Policy and Head of Climate to develop robust climate-related financial reporting processes. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring QBE meet the mandatory standards now in effect while also supporting the production of high-quality, transparent and strategically aligned climate-related financial disclosures.-
- metrics and targets- scenario analysis- climate resilience assessment- financial impacts and exposure- Support the preparation of the Group climate-related financial disclosures- Ensure robust documentation of processes and identification of controls to support climate related financial disclosures- Ensure all policies, procedures, and systems are thoroughly documented, regularly updated, and compliant with regulatory requirements- Actively mentor team members to support their professional growth and development.- Provide expert support and challenge for finance activities and offering accounting advice for any business cases developed to support climate transition plan- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across the Group Head Office including Finance, Sustainability, Risk, and Underwriting teams.

About you- Excellent technical accounting knowledge - AGAAP/IFRS with a focus on standards relevant to QBE’s business.-
- Strong project management and planning capabilities- Proven experience of dealing with people at all levels in the organisation, strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence within a global team.
