**A glimpse into a week in the NDIS Support Coordinator role**
- **Review Individual Support Plans**: You ensure that the plans align with the goals and aspirations of the participants you support.
- **Conduct Client Meetings**: You meet with new participants to discuss their needs and expectations, building rapport and understanding their unique situations.
- **Engage Stakeholders**: You connect with service providers to explore available supports and develop collaborative partnerships that benefit your participants.
- **Implement Individual Plans**: You work on implementing tailored support plans, ensuring that the services provided align with each participant’s specific needs.
- **Advocate and Mediate**: You address any issues participants encounter with service providers, advocating on their behalf to resolve conflicts effectively.
- **Build Your Network**: You connect with community organisations to expand the resources and support options available for your participants.
- **Maintain Ongoing Communication**: You stay in regular contact with participants, ensuring they feel supported and informed about their options.
- **Document Everything**: You keep accurate records of meetings, participant feedback, and plan adjustments to ensure compliance and maintain quality of service.

**It’s all about you**

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

- **Tertiary Qualification**: A degree in community services, social work, or a related field, plus hands-on experience in community work (essential).
- **NDIS Orientation**: Completed the NDIS Orientation Module (essential).
- **Driver’s Licence**: A current South Australian driver’s licence (essential).
- **Safe Environments Certificate**: A valid Safe Environments for Children and Young People - Through Their Eyes Certificate (essential).
- **Working with Children Checks**: Current DHS Working with Children Check and DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential).
- **Coaching Skills**: Ability to support Participants in skill development and help them achieve their goals.
- **Advisory Skills**: Skills to guide NDIS participants in planning for their futures

UnitingSA simplifies navigation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for individuals living with permanent and significant disabilities. As a registered NDIS provider, the organisation offers comprehensive support to maximise NDIS plans.

Services are available across metropolitan Adelaide and Northern Country SA, including supported employment opportunities through Wesley Social Enterprises.
