**About the Business Unit**:
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.

**About the Role**:
The Technical Officer, is responsible for the provision of timely and effective ICT support to the Technical team, including the provision of technical advice, problem identification and resolution, and troubleshooting. The Technical Officer, will assist with hardware and software support and maintenance to enable the continued provision of essential services in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Supporting the upgrade of the WAN/LAN environment and architecture across the Fixed Digital Road Safety Camera Network
- Reviewing weekly and quarterly operations, maintenance, and testing reports from Contractors to assess and calculate the decline in tolerances, making recommendations to Management on Camera sensor replacements.
- Reviewing and assessing the validity of camera vendor maintenance reports by reconciling up time and down time camera network data from the Camera Group systems.

**About You**:

- The ability to develop computer coding and formulas to monitor, analyse and assess data from various sources
- The ability to collect, process, analyse and present technical data, with a high order of accuracy and a fastidious attention to detail
- The ability to guide others in operating digital and technology tools relevant to area of work.

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification or TAFE certificate is desirable.
