The Opportunity
You will lead our SQE Advisors across multiple high voltage electrical infrastructure and renewable projects.
This role is based at our South Granville - Sydney office and requires regular travel to (NSW and QLD based) project sites.
Working closely with the SQE team, management and regional operational staff, this role is responsible for the development, planning and implementation of policies, procedures and processes relating to SQE. You will be a champion for SQE initiatives, partnering with operations to keep our people safe and deliver quality projects.
As a safety, quality and environmental influencer and exceptional communicator, you will assist with the tendering process, monthly reporting and attend client meetings. You will be responsible for overseeing site safety in accordance with CPP’s SQE systems, WH&S legislation, client and regulatory requirements.
**Additional responsibilities will include**:
- Implementing and maintaining the company's WHSE system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and established performance standards
- Conducting site inspections and investigations
- Developing and delivering internal communications and lead community meetings and toolbox sessions
**Skills and Experiences**:
About You
**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:
- Experience working on site within the Australian HV electrical infrastructure sector (highly desirable)
- Experience in a site-based safety/audit role within the construction industry or in a major project management environment, supporting multiple projects (required)
- Experience working with local utilities, regulators and renewable clients (highly desirable)
- Graduate Diploma in WHSE or similar (desirable)
- ICAM training and experience
- A highly developed sense of teamwork and demonstrable experience in building teams and relationships
- A demonstrable track record of inspiring safety leadership, where you have led an SQE team and managed direct reports.
- Experience with client relations, building and maintaining excellent working relationships
- Experience with tendering process
- A focus for detail and excellent planning skills
- A strong people focus with a drive for continual improvement and simplification
- A high level of computer literary including MS Office suite
