**We have a new opportunity for an industry-experienced IT Trainer to join us on a 9-month contract** **to play an instrumental role in the rollout of the pilot traineeship program.**
**Responsibilities include**:
- Provide advice to the traineeship project team regarding the delivery of the pilot program
- Provide supervision and guidance to our partner’s’ offshore IT training team in their course delivery
- Conduct onsite training and workplace assessments for IT trainees on industry placement
- Review training plans and provide coaching and guidance for IT trainees and their workplace mentors
- Preparing and maintaining training participant files in accordance with policies and procedures
- Completing any regulatory online student data entry
Initially, the role is for a period of 9 months, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during the pilot program, with a view to the role becoming a permanent one conditional on a successful traineeship program launch.
**We are seeking a Trainer who has the following experience**:
- At least 5 years IT industry experience relevant to the training and assessment being delivered and assessed
- At least 2 years training experience delivering IT courses at Cert III level or higher
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellence in maintaining documents relevant for training and assessment
- Problem solving skills / solution focused
**In addition to the above, it is essential that applicants have the following qualifications**:
- Current Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116)
- Or TAE40110 with the following units:
- TAELLN411 **or** (its successor) TAELLN401A, **and;**:
- TAEASS502 **or** (its successor) TAEASS502A **or** TAEASS502B
- Current and valid Australian driver’s license
**Or **a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education and vocational competencies in IT, at Certificate III in IT (ICT30120) level or higher.
