Ao6 Creative Designer

The Creative Designer is responsible for developing high level creative strategies and concepts for marketing activities relevant to trades audiences.

Developing and producing professional graphic design and multimedia solutions, concepts and designs for advertising, corporate and sales publications across a range of print and digital outputs; and providing mentoring and direction to marketing and communications team with respect to all issues pertaining to audience insights and creative development.

**Key Responsibilities;**
- influencing and directing the implementation of the trades look and feel across the state-wide graphic design network and providing advice on image curation;
- identifying opportunities and developing creative solutions to meet new and evolving project scopes across the organisation; and
- providing creative direction that strategically aligns to business objectives and marketing strategy, developing new concepts utilising market research and audience insights.
- Contribute proactively to the development of marketing, communications and engagement strategies, marketing plans and team planning activities, using knowledge of audience insights and media trends to inform the direction.
- Influence the creative style to inform and maintain the specific look and feel of marketing materials, ensuring a consistent brand experience across all publications, advertising and campaign materials while remaining compliant with the Brand Guidelines and supporting the creative aspects of brand strategy.
- Direct and create video and photography assets, from creative concept development and storyboarding, through to videography and editing of materials, including:

- assessing and interpreting requirements for shoots to align with business objectives, making decisions on location and adapting to changing requirements and environments; and
- directing talent for optimal visual and audio outcomes which align with the marketing objectives briefed.

Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager - Trades with a range of operational activities, including:

- leading, mentoring and training members of the marketing and communications team with design tasks to aid productivity and workflow;
- developing, modifying and organising local campaign assets including publications, advertising, digital media, social media assets, website assets, regional branding and signage across training centres and other marketing collateral to drive acquisition and provide a consistent customer experience;
- producing professionally designed creative assets utilising a range of programs and equipment; and
- ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place for the procurement of printing services and briefed projects are kept within budget, capitalising on cost saving opportunities by performing specialist tasks in-house.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; providing advice, working to inform the broader business context and providing creative solutions to business requirements.
- Proactively participate in local Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self-development and contributing to the development of the team through knowledge sharing and the provision of support, guidance and collaboration.

**Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated graphic design experience producing creative solutions, concepts and designs that align with organisational goals in the context of a commercial business environment.
- Ability to successfully lead and coordinate concurrent multi-disciplinary design projects.
- Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to establish positive and productive working relationships within the work group and with internal and external stakeholders.
