Troocoo are working with a large State Government Department on the recruitment of an AO6 Senior Communication Officer to join the team for a paternity leave contract role. This role will be commencing in mid-May and will be based on the CBD with flexible working arrangements on offer.

As the AO6 Senior Communications Officer you will be responsible for;
- developing, implementing, and evaluating a range of integrated, innovative, and client-focused communication and engagement strategies, including events, that support the achievement of the department’s strategic objectives.
- write, edit, and coordinate the production of a variety of digital and print communication materials, including publications, online and social media content, e-newsletters, videos, presentations, advertising, and feature stories, to support departmental campaigns and initiatives.
- Providing strategic advice on communication issues and projects to internal stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with departmental clients and staff at all levels, including senior officers.

This is a State Government department truly impacting the lives on Queenslanders and this is your chance to make a positive impact to others in the community. To be considered for the role you will have experience in a similar and or generalist communications role at a senior level, experience within a government framework is also preferred but not essential. You will be a strong and creative writer with proven experience in developing social media strategy, including placing ads and writing content. Experience in event management would also be advantageous in this role as you will be joining the team at crucial time of year in their events calendar.
