**Your new role**
WLSV are seeking a Team Leader for our skilled Social Work team. This is a newly created role working within our integrated practice of social work, financial counselling and legal teams.
You will provide support and leadership to your team and supervise social work students and graduates occasionally. You will be instrumental in leading collaboration to improve our processes, identify barriers to service delivery and providing solutions. You will manage a reduced case load of clients to continue your connection to the work.
The role is a fixed term, part time (0.8FTE) - negotiable.
**What you need to succeed**
You will have:
- Experience in working with a diverse range of women who have experienced family violence including provision of risk and needs assessment, safety planning, crisis support, case management, advocacy, and appropriate referrals
- Commitment to, and understanding of, intersectional feminist practice
- Experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients, and a commitment to culturally safe practice
- Enthusiasm for collaboration in working relationships with other staff and external stakeholders
- Pride in leading high quality, professional support for women and developing procedures to support service delivery
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written) with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of staff, clients, external stakeholders and organisations
The following qualifications and experience are required for the position:
- Professional qualifications in Social Work (with eligibility for membership to AASW)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in providing a range of assessments, supports and advocacy in a relevant sector/workplace
- Minimum 2 years in a service delivery leadership role
- Experience in identifying systemic barriers, and advocating for systemic change
