Our client is a tertiary public healthcare service. They provide a range of services, including acute medical and surgical services, emergency and critical care, aged care, diagnostics, rehabilitation, allied health, mental health, palliative care and residential care. They work with a vast network of collaborative partners to deliver high quality treatment, teaching, education, and research. They are looking for medical receptionist to join the team You will be joining one of the largest Urology departments in NSW.

Although this is a small & friendly team, they are a very busy clinic and manage all bookings and correspondence from their one surgeon to his patients.

The main surgeon uses robotic technology to operate on his patients. The Clinic use GENIE to operate their system however if you don't have experience, you will be onboarded for 2 weeks to ensure you are up to speed with their operations, procedures, and systems.
**This is a 12-month contract**, paying a very competitive salary of $35-$40 per hour, hours are Monday through Friday 09:00 - 17:30.

**Responsibilities**:

- Start and end of day waiting room set up
- Answer calls, schedule appointments, liaising with doctors, nurses, and patients
- Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies
- Process Medicare claims, billings and patient follow ups
- Theatre list co-ordination, construction, and management
- Related administrative and ad hoc administrative duties
- Liaise with doctors, staff, and allied health professionals

**Skills and Experience Requirements**:

- Surgical Practice experience required
- 2+ years’ experience in medical admin, theatre bookings or similar
- Certificate in Practice Management or Health Business Administration desirable
- Proficient in GENIE software. (Will train you in GENIE if you do not have experience)
- Great computer literacy skills required
- Able to work under pressure as part of a fast-paced team
- Excellent Customer service focus and experience
