As a Leading Hand you will operate automatic and/or manual equipment to process batches of bulk materials/ingredients in accordance with operating procedures. You will Inspect equipment and its auxiliaries (e.g. apron conveyor, belt conveyors, hydraulic system, all discharge chutes, leakages from gear box or fluid couplings) before starting of equipment.

This role will provide support to the Production Manager, assisting with motivating the team to achieve key outcomes.

Major Responsibilities:

- Embrace and support the FLSmidth ‘Safety First’ Culture
- Assist with the supervision and conduct of Manufacturing activities
- Ensure Raw Materials meet quality specifications be manufacturing.
- Assist with stock is booked into the ERP system and out to the correct jobs in a timely manner
- Lead and Train hose and rubber processing and manufacturing toTeam Member
- Understand business needs by exhibiting an understanding of key drivers and performance measures (eg Quality of manufactured item ,raw materilas, job due dates, cost and efficiency (without affecting other performance measures) relating to the Hose and Rubber production area

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Forklift license with previous experience is essential
- 5- Years experience processing and manufacturing environment
- Mining Site Services work experience processing and manufacturing environment
- Previous experience at Leading Hand level processing and manufacturing environment
- Hands on experience in with with hose and rubber products operations with a strong customer service attitude.
- Quality Conscience, knowledge of ISO 9001 an advantage.
- Current Manual Car Drivers License.
- Experienced utilizing ERP database systems i.e. Pronto, SAP, Epicor or similar systems.
