About the role
- The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, evidenced based advanced social work services to clients of the Behavioural Emergency Response Team (BERT), as part of an interprofessional team to prevent admission and/or expediate discharge from Metro North Health acute and subacute services.

- Clinical Expertise - Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge, skills and expertise in social work clinical practice in the field of complex disability and presentations of challenging behaviours
- Communication/Team participation - Demonstrated advanced ability to communicate and participate effectively as a member of an interprofessional team, including providing expert clinical advice to external service providers, clinicians, and family/carers of clients, and effective conflict management
- Leadership - Demonstrated ability to provide professional and clinical leadership within the BERT, including, clinical supervision and support for less experienced practitioners and students, setting, maintaining and evaluating clinical practice standards
- Quality improvement - Demonstrated ability to lead, implement and evaluate service improvement initiatives through continuous quality improvement, knowledge translation and research projects that enhance outcomes for consumers of BERT and influence clinical practice standards across Queensland
