**About the Role**

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner - Operations, the Financial Analyst plays an integral role in supporting budgeting and forecasting solely within DC Operations remit. This position will utilise your commercial, financial and analytical skills to provide insight and recommendations to key stakeholders to help deliver operational excellence as well as support month-end reporting & analysis, rolling forecast, annual budget and other reporting requirements for DC Operations based in Eastern Creek, Sydney.

**What your day to day looks like**:

- Provide support for the DC’s in the areas of budget preparation and ongoing financial forecasting.
- Partner with warehouse team to develop weekly labour performance report, analyse drivers of labour cost movement against forecast and budget
- Produce KPIs for each warehouse, and collaborate with the team to achieve operational excellence
- Provide analysis of inventory write-off, monitor obsolete inventory movement, partner with relevant departments to recommend solutions to reduce obsolete stock
- Review monthly results with warehouse managers to help managers have a deep understanding of financial performance and control their costs
- Participate and support the delivery of rolling monthly forecasts, quarterly reviews, and annual budgeting in close consultation with Managers and stakeholders
- Perform balance sheet and accrual reconciliations related to Operations for action on under/over accruals
- Monitor internal controls in accordance with policies, guidelines, and the schedule of authority
- Participate in cross-functional business and operational projects where related finance input is required

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

- 5+ years of relevant business/practical financial analytical experience.
- Qualification in Business/Accounting or similar and CPA is preferred.
- Direct experience in operational and/or supply chain/manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Experience using and developing reporting with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik, Power BI, TM1, Tableau, etc. would be beneficial
- Knowledge of SAP preferred not essential.
- Time management skills with the ability to work within strict timelines essential.
- Advanced Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) essential.
- Be able to work autonomously - able to self-start and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Hands-on approach - actively and directly get involved in the delivery of objectives.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent Communication skills
