**Location**: Principally office is based in Pyrmont, Sydney. In-office presence is required three days a week, with some hybrid working arrangements.

This role sits within Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) in the Identity Security and Digital Directorate.

**About the team**
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is an agency within the NSW Department of Customer Service. The Registry was formed in 1856 to register life events in NSW accurately and securely for all time. This includes the registration of births, deaths and marriages and official changes of name and sex.

**Your day-to-day**
Lead a team to minimise the risk of fraud and corruption, reducing identity crime, and protect the integrity of the Registry records as valid methods of personal identification, ensuring the integrity and security of data complies with legislative and policy requirements.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead a team and respond to highly complex enquiries to complete and achieve service standards in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements.
- Conduct and deliver detailed audits, checks, reviews, analysis, reporting, training, quality compliance and advice including support to security, conduct, fraud, and identity security investigations to ensure business objectives, compliance requirements and audit recommendations are met.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans to protect the integrity of the Registry and minimise identity fraud.
- Conduct internal security audits and assist with other audits to ensure risks are identified, investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and support documentation to provide appropriate framework to support the achievement of business objectives, in accordance with policy and guidelines, compliance requirements, audit recommendations, and relevant legislation.
- Develop and implement regular reporting mechanisms and processes to reflect compliance with legislative and policy requirements and recommend areas for improvement to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders to prepare and/or review high quality detailed documentation such as operational guidelines, policies and procedures, complex reports, briefs and correspondence managing document control, to ensure consistent performance and delivery.
- Drive the design and delivery of appropriate training programs and resources to build staff capability and improve service delivery.

**Grade and Salary**: DCS Clerk Grade 7/8, base salary starting at $110,266 - $122,058 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading
