We're looking for a highly capable Identity and Access Security Engineer to join a Security team and take the lead on securing authentication and access across the internal systems and hardware product lines. This role is hands-on, high-impact, and ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems in high-stakes environments.

You'll collaborate closely with IT, Platform, and Product teams to design scalable, secure identity solutions for users, services, and devices — including air-gapped systems with unique threat models. You'll play a key role in the execution of oa ZeroTrust strategy and influence authentication across everything from BYOD devices to mission-critical field hardware.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Drive the development and implementation of strong authentication and identity strategies across the organisation
  • Lead the rollout of phishing-resistant MFA across all systems and environments
  • Implement Just-In-Time (JIT) access controls for high-value infrastructure and services
  • Design identity solutions that work across users, devices, and hardware products
  • Strengthen authentication on BYOD devices and user endpoints
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on identity features in internal systems and customer-facing products
  • Shape and contribute to the organisation's ZeroTrust security roadmap
  • Influence access control design for novel product environments, including air-gapped hardware
  • Support threat modelling and define controls to mitigate key risks
  • Balance technical depth with communication clarity — you'll be a trusted security advisor across teams

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in roles such as Security Engineer, IAM Engineer, or Software Engineer
  • Solid software development background — comfortable writing systems in Go or Python
  • Proficiency in identity standards and protocols (OAuth, SAML, cryptographic authentication, etc.)
  • Experience in designing authentication and authorisation solutions at scale
  • Strong understanding of application security, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms
  • A Linux-first mindset and ease of working in command-line environments
  • Experience with threat modelling and practical security architecture design
  • Bonus: Familiarity with air-gapped systems, BeyondCorp, and systems thinking for high-risk domains
