**The Role**
We are seeking a highly organised, motivated and dedicated individual to join our small team of communication security (COMSEC) experts.
You will be required to:
- Operate, maintain, issue and account for a range of COMSEC equipment and material
- Deliver COMSEC training and briefings to supported elements
- Operate the Australia Key Management Infrastructure (AKMI) system as a KOAM
- Operate the COMSEC Accounting Reporting and Distribution System (CARDS) to accurately manage the accounts COMSEC equipment
- Perform the daily tasking’s of the COMSEC facility and maintain compliance on all general administrative functions as required by policy
- Perform SAFEHAND duties for all accountable COMSEC material movements through SCEC approved couriers
- Understudy the COMSEC account manager (CAM)/Primary KOAM and fulfil their duties during periods of absence
- Participate on the on-call register to respond to after hour enquiries and call outs
- Perform all duties of an ACAM / KOAM as directed under policy
**About our Team**
The 1st Signal Regiment Communications Security (COMSEC) team operates a small COMSEC facility from within the Regimental Headquarters.
The team reports directly to the Regimental Operations Officer and is responsible for providing direct cryptographic support to headquarters 1st Division, the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters and the Regiment.
The team is integral to meeting the information assurance requirements of Defence training, trials and operational activities.
We are seeking someone with exceptional skill and experience in organisation, policy, compliance, administration and/or logistics. Experience as an ACAM on an AKMI account will be highly regarded but is not essential to apply. Qualifications in AKMI/DCAC will be highly valued but are not essential to apply.
