**The Role**
The Logistics Officer manages the end-to-end supply chain process for stores ordering, service maintenance, disposals, warehousing and/or inventory management at the Malaria & Infectious Disease Institute Gallipoli Barracks Enoggera. The role is required to conduct analysis and manage all logistic data, utilising spreadsheets and reports.
This includes but is not limited to consultation with internal and external stakeholders, such as military personnel, fleet managers and Industry Partners.
**About our Team**
The Logistics Officer APS 4 is part of the Headquarters support team under the direction from the APS 6 Business Manager. The HQ team also consists of the Institute Director, Commanding Officer (CO), Operations Warrant Officer (Navy), APS 3 Admin Officer and APS 5 Quality/WHS Officer.
The Institute Director provides the direction regarding Science Research undertaken at ADF Malaria and Infectious Diseases Institute (ADFMIDI). The CO is the Assistant Director who provides business strategic oversight and directs the Military functions of the unit.
The Business Manager and Admin Officer are responsible for the daily business routines & practices, unit finances/purchases and personnel administration for unit APS, Military and Contractor staff. The Operations Officer manages all of ADFMIDI's International Engagements. The Quality/WHS Officer maintains the Safety standards of the Unit and audits all of the Unit systems. The Logistics Officer is responsible for managing the unit equipment and ordering of unit stores.

- Experience in a similar role, in particular logistics, disposals, warehousing and/or inventory;

- Good interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters;
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritise a changing workload and negotiate an outcome;
- Assist in the delivery of projects under the direction of higher classification levels;
- Contribute new ideas and maximise the benefits of change, including the identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes.
