**Your new company**
This high-profile Federal Government is seeking an EL1 Policy Officer to join their taskforce responsible for delivering the Australian Government’s commitment to introduce mandatory labelling. The taskforce work closely with industry stakeholders, consumers, other government agencies and state and territory governments to design a model for labelling.

**Your new role**
You will be a part of the taskforce and your position will include but is not limited to:

- Lead interaction with stakeholders to ensure the design of the labelling model meets the Government's objectives, balances a range of stakeholder interests and reflects best practice.
- Lead and supervise the preparation and dissemination of a range of documents.
- Develop submissions, proposals, costings and other supporting materials for consideration by Government.
- Work independently to undertake research and analysis, and develop advice, guidance, reports, briefs and correspondence.
- Guiding, developing and mentoring team members including identifying development opportunities and providing feedback.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, the ability to undertake tasks independently, the ability to develop an understanding of key issues with the ability to strategically think, the ability to provide leadership and the ability to communicate clear, concise and to a high standard.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
