Policy and program development and implementation skills wanted
**Your new company**
This well-known Federal Government department is seeking an EL1 Policy/Program Officer to join one of their branches responsible for leading the Government's policy and program response to improve communications connectivity for regional and remote Australians. Over the next 12 months, the branch will require resources to deliver a range of programs announced in the October budget.

**Your new role**
You will obtain an opportunity to gain experience working in a program delivery position. This will include assisting the team with:

- Engaging with key internal and industry stakeholders.
- Developing grant guidelines.
- Supporting contract negotiations and case managing funding recipients.
- Preparing high quality briefing for Ministers.
- Coordinate and draft responses to correspondence.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have policy and analytical skills, strong coordination and organisation skills with a focus on program development and implementation, the ability to produce written communication that is clear and concise, the ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and the ability to take responsibility for the achievement of team outcomes, monitor team progress and follow through to delivery.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
