**About the Role**
As the Cyber Security Team Lead, you will play a key role in delivering the Sunwater Cyber plan and building Sunwater’s information security capability.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Defining and maintaining our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and strategies aligned to things like ISO27001/02, IEC62443 and the Essential 8 (and more Queensland Government specific considerations as part of QGCIO IS18:2018)
- Day to day oversight of the Sunwater Information Security Management System
- Work with the program manager for cyber security projects to ensure operational alignment on delivery outcomes (as well as other technology projects within the ICT portfolio)
- Maintaining our ISO27001 Certification Annually
- Leading a small internal team supported by a managed security service provider in delivery of security operations services
- Monitor performance of key functional deliverables such as the Security Operations Centre (SOC), Security Information Event Management System (SIEM) and ensure proper integration
- Monitor internal and external compliance requirements and provide reports as required.
- Promote cyber awareness throughout the business and with our suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Assess new technology, processes and infrastructure for risk in line with our defined risk appetite and policies & procedures.
- Act as an incident manager for cyber events and participate in regular testing of these procedures.
- Oversee development and maintenance of cyber security training materials and documentation.
- Provide relevant and actionable reporting and KPI updates to management as needed.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you have demonstrated skills as a cyber security leader with both technical skills and stakeholder management experience. You will require demonstrated experience in managing an information security standard like ISO27001/02, NIST, IEC62443 and the Essential 8 and experience managing a small team and external suppliers. You will be familiar with industry trends and best practice and show how you will bring other stakeholders on the cyber security journey. Strong communication skills is essential as to drive better security outcomes.
Key requirements include:
- Experience with cyber security leadership or project management involved in the planning, investigation, design, and delivery of cyber security controls and strategies
- Ability to negotiate successful project outcomes
- Experience with standards like COBIT, NIST, ITIL, ISO, PCI and Data Privacy.
- High level technical understanding of concepts around common enterprise ICT systems and platforms like Cloud computing (Azure/AWS), Office 365, Azure AD, Salesforce, SAP etc.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory drivers for information security such as Essential 8, Security of Critical Infrastructure Act (SOCI), Queensland Government IS:18.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science/engineering, system analysis, cyber security.
- Formal industry certification or equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Class ‘C’ driver’s licence as some regional travel may be required.
