This government department has a significant influence on a range of important social aspects of society, ultimately delivering stability, support and improvements to people’s welfare. Working on a high profile government priority, this department is currently setting up a new team and are currently seeking multiple APS6 Fraud Investigators.
**Your new role**
Seeking experienced APS6 Investigation officers to come on board on an initial contract period of 18 months with the possibility of extension.
The section is responsible for external investigations, relating to government funding and service provision. With a key focus on identifying key issues, collecting evidence, liaising with stakeholders and providing recommendations in the form of briefing and correspondence. Drawing on your background in fraud or criminal investigations you will have an eye for detail, strong research and assessment skills and the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
As part of this role you will be presenting evidence, and contemporary investigation experience will be looked upon highly.
**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a security clearance at either Baseline or Negative Vetting 1
- Have highly developed interpersonal skills and will develop and contribute to productive working relationships with key stakeholders
- Embody a high standard of written and oral communication skills and stakeholder management
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a small team environment
- Be able to work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with the department’s mission and business objectives
- Be comfortable working with information and data
It would be considered beneficial if you hold a Certificate IV in Investigations. This position would suit someone who enjoys working within a constantly changing environment and who has the ability to work under pressure. Please note you must be an Australian Citizen to apply, be able to obtain a Working with Vulnerable Peoples Check.
