**About the role**

The Production Assistant will join a small team at our **dog treat processing and packing facility.**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Operating filler machine.
- Fill rolls with raw meat.
- Dip rolls, sort and place onto racks.
- Put racks onto trolley ready for the oven.
- Inspect prepared rolls and report quality issues to the Supervisor.
- Wash and sanitise processing equipment and work area.
- Assist with packing finished products.
- Must love dogs
- Have experience in a **fast paced** food production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a meat processing role.
- Willing to work on rotation in the production area.
- Proficient machine operation skills or **the willingness to learn.**:

- Practical knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitisation and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Initiative, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to handle raw meat products.
- Ability to work in a cold and hot environment (when ovens are in operation).
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 15KG.
- A Certificate II or above in Meat Processing or relevant qualification is highly regarded.
- Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate in the vaccination process.
- Have on steel capped footwear.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.13 - $35.92 per hour
