**About the Team**

The Active Transport branch has been established to work with key partners across TfNSW, the cluster (Greater Cities Commission and Infrastructure NSW) and government (primarily the Department of Planning and Environment and Treasury) to align priorities and strategies to ensure we are creating integrated cities and resolving city-shaping issues collaboratively.

**The opportunity**

Reporting to the Executive Director Active Transport, we’re seeking a Director Active Transport Portfolio, Data & Analytics to join our leadership team on a permanent basis.

You’ll be responsible for setting the direction for and leading the Active Transport Portfolio Management and provide oversight of the investment in walking and cycling across NSW, including the Get NSW Active Program, along with the data & analytics functions. Core functions of the role include:

- Lead the Active Transport Portfolio Delivery function and oversight of the portfolio including Governance, Financial Management, Risk Management, Management Control & Metrics Production and provide support to the Portfolio Definition function.
- Lead the Active Transport Data & Analytics function including Technology Strategy & Deployment, Data Acquisition & Management and Customer & Network Insights.
- Provide the strategic direction on reporting in the portfolio for leadership consumption and ensure alignment with program and financial management processes.
- Lead the development of systems that enable data that is reliable, easy to understand and effectively produced to ensure efficient decision making and a clear understanding of Active Transport Projects, Networks and Customer Insights.
- Accountability for the Active Transport change and communication function including the management of the internet/intranet as well as supporting stakeholder engagement.

Liaise with multiple major projects delivery teams to ensure inclusion of Active Transport elements are captured into transport projects from the outset and managed through to completion.

The role requires strong influencing, negotiation and a collaborative approach, as well as resolve conflicts or challenges within these priorities, precincts and projects in order to successfully deliver on them in a connected and coordinated way.
